Norfolk green buildings open to public
Eco structures in Norfolk will be opening their doors next month in the Campaign to Protect Rural England's (CPRRE) Green Buildings in Norfolk Open Days event. Bookings are now available for tours of a variety of eco-buildings, most of which are not normally open to the public. The event will feature 12 projects that collectively incorporate a wide range of technologies and energy-saving measures, and will take place from Thursday, September 23 until Sunday, September 26.

Many people are clueless about what they can do to save significant amounts of energy, and the most eco-active individuals are often the most confused, according to a new study.
Which? energy researcher Hazel Cottrell says: ‘While it’s good to adopt practices such as turning off lights and appliances while not in use, these won’t be having as powerful of an effect on your energy use as other actions you could take.’

Audi enter the EV market
Audi is planning to take a look at emission free vehicles. Until now Audi has not shown any interest in electric car production but now that there is a growing demand for small and electronically-driven cars, Audi is keen to join the race.

Keeping solar panels clean in the desert
Deserts are the obvious locations for solar power plants. The land is cheap and the sunshine is plentiful. Unfortunately so too is the dust, dirt and wind that leads to dirty solar panels that can take a big hit in efficiency. One technology being tried is self-dusting solar panels,based on technology developed for Mars.
